UTAH’S IMPORTANT BIRD AREAS PROGRAM

Utah’s Important Bird Areas Program is moving from the planning phase to reality as it is being officially launched in December. The program is coming to fruition through the partnerships of many organizations and individuals in Utah, including: state and federal agencies, numerous conservation and birding organizations, the academic community, and individuals. The first major step of the program is formation of a technical committee which will establish criteria and review site nominations.
