IMPORTANT BIRD AREA FACT SHEETSCheck out the links below to learn more about the birds and habitats supported in some of Virginia's IBAs. These fact sheets include maps of the IBA boundaries, highlight the key species and habitats supported, and describe the primary conservation concerns affecting birds and habitats within them. We thank the Center for Conservation Biology for their significant contribution toward creating the IBA maps and synthesizing the information for the coastal plain IBA fact sheets. Financial support for this effort was provided by the Department of Environmental Quality's Coastal Zone Management Program. More fact sheets for other IBAs in Virginia will be coming soon so keep checking back as we continue to update the website! See list of Virginia IBAs for information on these and other IBAs in the state, or search for particular IBAs through the IBA Search Tool.
