A BASE FOR CONDUCTING SCIENTIFIC STUDY & MONITORING OF MAINE'S SEABIRD POPULATIONS:

The Seabird Center plays a vital role in the future protection and management of seabirds in the entire Gulf of Maine.  It houses the talent and energy that seeks to understand seabirds through both innovative and traditional means.

The Seabird Center establishes Maine’s place in an international community of ecologists and scientists concerned with the alarming declines of seabirds.

The Seabird Center fosters cooperation to protect coastal wildlife and is dedicated to continuing the tradition of innovation in conservation practice that marked the original effort to return Puffins to Maine.

The Seabird Center will inspire the conservationists of  tomorrow, by developing the skills of people who will make a difference.
