| We appreciate your interest
in contributing to Project
Puffin
Project Puffin serves as an excellent example of how people can have a positive effect on their environment. Yet solutions take time, dedication and support. The successes of Project Puffin are a monument to our many friends. Our annual operating budget of about $700,000 comes primarily from private contributions ear-marked to Project Puffin. Tax-deductible gifts to the Puffin Project of National Audubon Society are dedicated completely to protecting and restoring Maine seabirds. Adopt-A-Puffin is one of our principal fund-raising programs. Donated funds support our student biologists who live on the islands and protect and study the puffins and other seabirds during the summer. Each summer we learn more about these remarkable seabirds. As land stewards, our mission is to prevent the loss of species, a goal which guides our work in the Gulf of Maine. More productive colonies and expanded ranges are the best assurances we can offer. Project Puffin has shown that with enough dedication, we really can make a difference. By sponsoring one of the famous Egg Rock puffins for a nesting season, you can help protect these sanctuaries. You will receive a certificate of adoption and a color photograph with a biography of your puffin. The adoption donation for each puffin is a tax-deductible gift of $100. To adopt, you may use a credit card on our secure server, or call us in Ithaca at 607-257-7308. Puffin adoptions make wonderful gifts. We include a note announcing who the gift is from. All contributors receive our annual Egg Rock Update newsletter.
With EACH puffin adoption, you will receive:
NOTE: Adoptions can be renewed on an annual basis. You will receive an invitation to renew each November. If only puffins could write...we'd have THEM send you a letter, too...!
