Waterbirds on Working Lands Project: Downloadable Resources

The Waterbirds on Working Lands Project is a partnership endeavor of the National Audubon Society, Monsanto and the Monsanto Fund to build a science-based conservation framework for engaging the producer community in efforts to measurably improve wetlands and agricultural landscapes for waterbirds. The project has focused on better understanding what we objectively know or do not know about the status and trends of waterbird populations in agricultural regions, how waterbirds use row-crops and row-crop landscapes, and the impacts of production practices on waterbird distribution and abundance in order to define waterbird conservation needs on working lands and identify opportunities for partnering with the agricultural community to address those needs.

Drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of representatives from grower associations, industry, academia, government agencies, and non-profit organizations, we have amassed and synthesized a large body of technical and scientific information that is available below as downloadable resources. Please visit the Waterbirds on Working Lands web pages for more information about the project and key findings.

Each item is in PDF format and requires Adobe Reader v 6.0 or higher to view.
