Objectives

  • Inform people about the ecological significance of the Mississippi River and its watershed for birds, fish, wildlife, habitat, and humans
  • Take direct action at selected urban, rural, and natural places to protect native habitat and restore degraded habitat
  • Engage people to influence public decisions and actions that improve water quality, soil health, and the ecological value of habitat
