Grand Valley Audubon Center

The bird and wildlife species of Colorado’s western slope represent a rich diversity of mountain, wetland, and desert species. The Grand Valley Audubon Center will celebrate the unique landscapes and wild inhabitants of western Colorado through hands-on nature education programs. The Center will be located near Connected Lakes State Park and the Lucy Ferril Ela Wildlife Sanctuary, building upon the Grand Valley Audubon Society’s long-time stewardship of this beautiful site. The powerful Colorado River—so crucial to the region—borders the site and channels an incredible assortment of river species through the area.
