The members of the Missouri Advisory Committee on Chip Mills saw a variety of contrasting approaches to forest mangement.

Private forest land managed under a long term, sustainable plan - owned by Emily Firebaugh.
Clearcut on Funk Branch Road SW of Annapolis, Missouri. No "best management practices" (BMPs) were used to control erosion and runoff at this site. The logs went to the Mill Spring Chip Mill.
One year after a clearcut on private land NE of Annapolis with oversight of MDC. The logs went to the Mill Spring Chip Mill.
One year after a selective cut on Pioneer Forest managed under a long term, sustainable plan - owned by Leo Drey.
