Director of Development
The Director of Development is responsible for designing, managing, and overseeing implementation of the entire range of development activities for Audubon New Mexico, including major gifts, planned gifts, annual fund, and special events. Responsibilities include: devising effective strategies to secure private support for established priorities from individuals, foundations, and corporations; cultivating and soliciting prospects; and closing gifts. The position will support the State Director in all aspects of donor outreach and solicitation and work closely with staff and volunteers to plan and execute fundraising strategies in the state. The Director of Development also coordinates development and marketing-related communications for the state program.

Climate Change Outreach Coordinator
The Climate Change Outreach Coordinator will represent Audubon's Global Warming Campaign in New Mexico. The Coordinator will identify, recruit, and mobilize Audubon and other activists to work to pass federal and state legislation to reduce global warming pollution and encourage energy efficiency and renewable energy. More generally, the position entails grassroots communication, training, and organizing on specific global warming issues. This is a part-time position beginning in August 2008.

Education Interns
The Randall Davey Audubon Center (RDAC) offers internships to individuals seeking professional experience in environmental education. Each intern receives training in a wide variety of education programs, the operations and activities of a nature center and non-profit organization, principles of environmental interpretation, art and historic interpretation and natural history of New Mexico.  Interns will work directly with the education staff in carrying out responsibilities necessary to meet the RDAC ’s objectives.

Volunteers
Clerical: Although we are a small staff, there’s always lots of clerical work to be done. Office help is needed in the form of answering the phone, data entry, mailings, photocopying and as projects come up. (Volunteers needed year-round on a regular basis. Basic training and supervision provided.)
