Director of Development
The Director of Development is responsible for designing, managing, and
overseeing implementation of the entire range of development activities
for Audubon New Mexico, including major gifts, planned gifts, annual
fund, and special events. Responsibilities include: devising effective
strategies to secure private support for established priorities from
individuals, foundations, and corporations; cultivating and soliciting
prospects; and closing gifts. The position will support the State
Director in all aspects of donor outreach and solicitation and work
closely with staff and volunteers to plan and execute fundraising
strategies in the state. The Director of Development also coordinates
development and marketing-related communications for the state program.
Climate Change
Outreach Coordinator The
Climate Change Outreach Coordinator
will represent Audubon's Global Warming Campaign in New Mexico.
The Coordinator will identify, recruit, and mobilize Audubon and
other activists to work to pass federal and state legislation to
reduce global warming pollution and encourage energy efficiency
and renewable energy. More generally, the position entails
grassroots communication, training, and organizing on specific
global warming issues. This is a part-time
position beginning in August 2008.
Education Interns
The Randall Davey Audubon Center (RDAC) offers internships to
individuals seeking professional experience in environmental education.
Each intern receives training in a wide variety of education programs,
the operations and activities of a nature center and non-profit
organization, principles of environmental interpretation, art and
historic interpretation and natural history of New Mexico. Interns will
work directly with the education staff in carrying out responsibilities
necessary to meet the RDAC ’s objectives.
Volunteers
Clerical: Although we are a small staff, there’s always
lots of clerical work to be done. Office help is needed in the form of
answering the phone, data entry, mailings, photocopying and as projects
come up. (Volunteers needed year-round on a regular basis. Basic
training and supervision provided.) |
