Bird Classes: The Birds of Santa Fe
Once a month, from March to October, the Randall Davey Audubon Center in Santa Fe will host a bird class on the 3rd Thursday of the month, followed by Saturday field sessions. The Thursday classes will be held in the evening from 6:30–8:30 PM and will be indoors (in our classroom). The Saturday field classes will begin at 8:30 AM and offer outdoor birding experience. Classes are fun, informative, and open to all levels.
Beginning Birding: What Makes a Bird a Bird
March 18th & 20th
This class starts at the very beginning. We will take you through an exploration of the specialized adaptations that make a bird a bird as well as the basics of bird watching. The Saturday field class will include both a bird walk and a service project that will instruct on how and where to place bird boxes and draw birds to your yard for nesting. Cost: $15 each month (including Thursday & Saturday) or $120 for the entire series of eight classes. All proceeds go towards the Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary programs and conservation activities. For more information, or to register, please email Jeremy Philipp or Amy Roberts or phone 505-983-4609. (more classes)
