Grassland interspersed with rock formations offers Scaled Quail, Say’s Phoebe, Rock Wren, Curve- billed Thrasher and Eastern Meadowlark (R); Western Kingbird (M/S); and Golden Eagle, Sage and Brewer’s Sparrows, Lark Bunting and Western Meadowlark (M/W).
Habitat: Desert grassland.
Location: From Deming, take US 180 northwest 24 miles. Turn right or east on NM 61 for 4 miles to the park access road. From Silver City, take US 180 southeast 29 miles to the junction with NM 61.
