| Scott’s Orioles (S) can be seen on the soaptree yuccas in
the open grasslands of the Uvas Valley. The area is excellent for a variety
of raptors in migration and winter, including Golden Eagle, Ferruginous Hawk
and Prairie Falcon. Habitat: Desert grasslands. Location: From US 180 north of Deming, turn right on NM 26 and drive to Hatch and 1-25, or vice versa. |
