Dripping Springs Trail and others show off desert scrub, low elevation forest and montane birds, including White-throated Swift, Black-chinned Sparrow and Scott’s Oriole (MIS); and Black-throated Sparrow (R). Excellent year-round.
Habitat: Desert scrub; pinyon-juniper and oak woodlands.
Location: In Las Cruces, take University Blvd. east from 1-25. University becomes Dripping Springs Rd. and, after 10 miles, dead ends at the visitor center.
