The lake is a prime area for waterbirds and shorebirds,
especially in fall, winter and spring. Locations for viewing the lake
include North Monticello Point, Three Sisters and Rock Canyon Marina. Paseo
del Rio Park is a migrant trap. Thousands of Western and Clark’s Grebes and
unusual gulls (W). American White Pelican, several terns and shorebirds (M),
depending upon water level. |
