NCAS is home to the RamsHorn-Livingston Sanctuary. This wonderful sanctuary includes a tidal swamp, the RamsHorn Creek connecting with the Hudson River, a marsh, and hardwood forest. A 3 mile, self-guiding trail leads the visitor through representative habitats. Also, the Northern Catskills are home to the newly-split species, Bicknell's Thrush. This neotropical migrant nests above 3000 feet and we have 2 of the highest Catskill peaks within our chapter's area. Please contact us for more information.
