Policy Priorities State
and Federal Conservation Policy Resolutions Audubon
New York, the Audubon Council of New York State, and Audubon
Chapters establish annual up-to-date Conservation Policy Resolutions
in the areas of conservation funding, bird and wildlife conservation,
and habitat conservation. These resolutions are approved each
year by the Audubon Council and Chapters at the Spring Audubon
Assembly.
The priority focus of these resolutions
is state legislation and funding actions needed to protect
and enhance New York’s natural resources. In addition,
resolutions are passed which also call for regional and federal
programs, where appropriate. These public policy resolutions
form the basis for Audubon New York's conservation programs
and set measurable benchmarks for conservation action.
