Ways of supporting Audubon Ohio

Audubon Ohio receives financial support through a variety of sources:

  • Individual Donors make contributions through checks payable to Audubon Ohio and mailed to 692 N. High Street, Suite 303, Columbus, Ohio 43215, or click here to give.
  • Birdathon is an annual event in May in which donors pledge fixed and per-species amounts as we scramble to spot as many species as possible in a 24-hour period.
  • The Lucy and John James Audubon Giving Society is for donors making annual gifts of at least $1,000. Members of the Society receive premiums, including audio and visual materials, special events and trips.
  • Corporate Sponsors support a variety of programs through single and multi-year gifts.
  • Community and Family Foundations make grants to support conservation and educational projects.
  • Planned Giving opportunities, including bequests, annuities, assignments of insurance policies, are available to those wishing to leave assets in perpetuity to Audubon Ohio. Our advisers can provide guidance on the available planned giving tools.
  • Capital Campaigns occur from time to time to allow us to develop our Audubon nature education centers. We will soon begin a capital campaign for the creation of the Columbus Audubon Center, which we hope to open in 2008.

If you are interested in more details on these giving opportunities, please send a message to ohio@audubon.org.
