The Green Mountain Audubon Center provides programs for organized groups such as: homeschool groups, scouts, seniors and other clubs. Adult groups may choose from the seasonal programs listed below and younger audiences may choose from any of our education programs listed in our Education Programs brochure.

We have tailored programs to meet specific badge requirements for scout groups including: Maple Sugaring, Finding Your Way and Sharing Your World With Wildlife. Please call the Center for more information and to schedule a time for your visit.

Jewels of the Northern Forest - A colorful presentation about the birds found in the forests across Vermont. Find out why Vermont is globally important to various species of neotropical migrants, including warblers, thrushes, flycatchers & boreal birds. 1 hour, offered year-round, appropriate for an adult audience

Birdscaping-Creating a Backyard Haven for Birds - Combining the two most popular past-times, bird watching & gardening, this presentation covers various ways to attract birds and other wildlife to your property. With information on native grasses, perennials, shrubs, and trees, gardeners and landscapers will gain insight into the types of plants that will attract & benefit many of the breeding birds in Vermont. 1 hour, offered year-round, appropriate for an adult audience

Birdfeeding Basics - Feeders offer a simple introduction into the world of birds. Learn about how to choose a feeding site in your yard, select a variety of feeders & food to attract a variety of birds and how you can become a citizen scientist by watching the birds at your feeders. 1 hour, offered October - May, appropriate for an adult audience

Becoming Part of the Great Backyard Bird Count - The workshop will cover aspects of birdfeeding, common & unique winter birds found in Vermont, and most importantly how to become a Citizen Scientist and help with the annual Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) in February. Libraries who host this talk will be designated as a data entry site for GBBC participants and will receive a free training session on how to help patrons enter bird count data onto the web. 1 hour, offered in January & early February, appropriate for an adult audience
