Diane Clifford - Vice President, Marketing and Constituency Development
Diane Clifford leads Audubon’s marketing and constituency development department, overseeing direct mail and online fundraising as well as Audubon’s licensing and cause marketing efforts. Clifford also guides the Membership Leadership Team, which is currently working to create a new membership model for Audubon. Since joining Audubon in 2013, Clifford has moved Audubon towards a truly donor-centric fundraising model by integrating online and offline channels and introducing new data segmentation and modeling approaches to Audubon’s fundraising efforts.
With an extensive background in conservation marketing, Clifford understands that conservation impact cannot be achieved without a network of passionate supporters. Clifford and her team work to activate these supporters through Audubon’s multi-channel fundraising programs. She believes that by meeting the members’ needs at every touchpoint, Audubon will see exciting growth in both the size and value of the membership across all channels.
Before stepping into her current role as Vice President, Clifford served as a development and membership consultant for Audubon. During that time, she created an innovative, data-driven method for assessing our direct mail program and communicated her vision for a new level of membership growth. Before coming to Audubon, Clifford was a senior marketing and fundraising team member at Defenders of Wildlife, National Wildlife Federation, and the National Parks Conservation Association.
