Join Audubon Rockies on June 17 and 18 for a process-based stream restoration workshop designed especially for restoration project planners and supporters in Colorado!
 
This event is in response to numerous requests for further restoration training we received from people who attended the SB23-270: Projects To Restore Natural Stream Systems training sessions we held over the fall and winter months. During this workshop, attendees will learn how to apply SB270 criteria in the field and speakers will take a deeper dive into process-based restoration (PBR) topics.

There are two tracks available for this event.

Track 1 – Restoration Planning: Technical training for folks who oversee/manage projects, hire restoration practitioners, and do desktop and field analysis to determine the best locations/opportunities for restoration.

• Track 1 is a two-day in-person event. Day one (June 17) will consist of in-class sessions and day two (June 18) will consist of field trips. A $40 registration fee covers meals for day one.
• June 17 sessions include Tools to Help Identify and Prioritize Restoration Opportunities, Planning for PBR in Your Watershed, Considerations of Where and How to Partner with Beaver, 404 Permits and Other Potential Approvals Needed, Panel of Practitioners: Lessons Learned to Manage Project Challenges
• June 18 Field Trip – Identifying SB270 Criteria Such as OHWM and Ground Truthing your Desktop Analysis of Where to Work

Track 2 – Supporting Restoration Work: Non-technical training for folks who contribute to stream restoration communications, fundraising, partnership building, and policy work.

• Track 2 is a one-day virtual event on June 17. Registration for Track 2 is free.
• Sessions include: Overview of PBR Principles, Approaches, and Typical Goals and Outcomes; SB270 Recap; Best Funding Opportunities for PBR and How to Budget: What is Needed and When; Communications & Education Around PBR: How to Communicate with Various Stakeholders; and Panel of Practitioners: Lessons Learned to Manage Project Challenges

Track 1 cost: $40 (Covers meals for Day 1)
Track 2 cost: Free
