Classroom Poster, New Video

The NAS Population and Habitat Campaign, together with the Education Division, is creating an educational poster for upper elementary classrooms that connects human population growth issues to habitat for birds and other wildlife. The poster, titled "People and Wildlife, Sharing the Earth" contains background information for teachers and students as well as numerous hands-on activities. Anticipating distribution in September to selected classrooms that already receive Audubon Adventures, the Campaign will also make the poster available FREE to Audubon chapters, state offices, and education centers. Others may order the poster for about $5 (see below for info on ordering).

The Population and Habitat Campaign is also pleased to announce the debut of its newest video, "Who's Counting: Population and Habitat in the New Millennium." The 24-minute video ($25) explores the issue of population growth, its impacts on wildlife and habitat, and how these can be addressed.
