Settling into my new spot as assistant editor of AUDUBON magazine, I invite all of you to submit story ideas and suggestions to Inside Audubon. The format of Inside Audubon is flexible and allows us to cover national, regional, and state stories in "Audubon in Action;" profile dedicated volunteers in "Making a Difference;" spotlight chapters in "Chapter News;" and give certain issues more in-depth coverage in "Audubon Focus." I am looking for good stories about chapter achievements and events -- and about noteworthy volunteers who could be profiled for "Making a Difference." Also, we are trying to make more of an effort to suggest relevant contacts -- either at the local or national level -- for the other departments and features. For example, if we're doing a story about wetland restoration, we may be able to list chapter(s) that are currently involved in such projects, as a resource for others.

I plan to attend some upcoming state and regional events in my search for stories, and would appreciate it if you could also forward any schedules that might help me with such plans.
