Gathering in Estes Park, CO for two days preceding the NAS Convention, over 70 NAS chapter leaders and wetlands advocates from 26 states, Mexico, and Belize participated in the second annual Audubon Wetlands Summit. Skills-building workshops, briefings on federal initiatives, and the sharing of success stories and strategies for protecting and restoring wetlands took place. Participants provided ideas on building state field office capacity for wetlands protection and restoration: top priorities:
