Convention Workshop Materials Available

Audiotapes and handouts from plenary sessions and workshops held at the July NAS Convention in Estes Park, Colorado, will be available for chapter leaders at a nominal cost through the Chapter Services Office after the Convention. Hand-outs and other written materials supplied electronically to Chapter Services from many of the Convention workshops will also be available on the NAS Web site. Paper copies of workshop and Convention materials supplied to Chapter Services will also be made available to chapter leaders at a nominal cost.

39th Annual "Nature Pilgrimage"

Sponsored by Presque Isle AS (Erie, PA), Jamestown AS (NY), Burroughs Nature Club in Rochester (NY), and Buffalo AS (Buffalo, NY), and held on May 29, 30 and 31st this year, the 39th annual Allegany Nature Pilgrimage was a roaring success! We celebrated this exceptional weekend of camping, nature field trips, biking, hiking, bogging and evening programs at Allegany State Park in Salamanca, NY. This year we had over 700 participants, many of whom were families with children. Our evening programs were: an interactive campfire event on Friday night and a slide program about the Appalachian trail for Saturday night. To attract new Audubon members, we offered a rebate to anyone who joined at the Pilgrimage.

They may be willing to publish YOUR chapter birding or "nature" festival in the Directory.
