NAS Forest Habitat Campaign

This fall, NAS launched the American Heritage Forest Campaign, a coalition effort with 14 other conservation groups across the country, to persuade the U.S. Forest Service to adopt a long-term "roads policy" that would permanently protect up to 60 million acres of roadless lands in our National Forest System.

For more information on protecting Forest Service roadless areas, please contact Alix Davidson, NAS-DC; ph: 202/861-2242; e-mail: adavidson@audubon.org. The Forest Campaign has two other grassroots programs actively involving chapters: the Sister-Chapter program, and the Campaign's mailing list. For more info. on these, contact Maureen Murray, NAS-DC; ph: 202/861-2242 e-mail: mmurray@audubon.org.
