Aullwood's Neighbors |

Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm is part of the National Audubon Society but we are surrounded by fine neighbors who are parts of other organizations. The collection of open space along the Stillwater River is a great resource overseen by the National Audubon Society, Five Rivers Metroparks, The Miami Conservancy District, and many private landholders.
Five Rivers MetroParks
Administrative Office, 1371 E. Siebenthaler Ave., Dayton, OH
45414
(937) 275-7275
The park district surrounds Aullwood on four sides. To the south is Mrs.
Aull's garden, also called Aullwood Garden. Also to the south and east
is the south segment of Englewood MetroPark. To the north and west is land
owned by the Miami Conservancy District but used as parkland by the MetroParks.
People often have the mistaken impression that Aullwood is part of the
MetroParks. We are not, we are part of the National Audubon Society.
Miami Conservancy District
38 E. Monument Ave., Dayton, OH 45402
(937) 223-1271
The conservancy was created to protect the valley below from floods like
the devastating 1913 flood. They maintain the huge Englewood Dam. It is
one of a set of five dry dams that act like flow restrictors in time of
high water. People often have the mistaken impression that Aullwood is
part of the Conservancy District. We are not, we are part of the National
Audubon Society.
Old National Trails
Riding Center 930 Pattys Rd., Vandalia, OH 45377
(937) 890-7766
This is a private business operating in Englewood MetroPark. They provide
horses and training for the public. People often have the mistaken impression
that Aullwood operates the Riding Center. We do not.
