Audubon Sharon offers internships throughout the year in the areas of education and research. 
In a typical year we have the following positions:
  • Environmental Education Intern - Spring
  • Summer Naturalist (2) - Summer
  • MAPS Bird Banding Intern (2) - Summer
  • Research Apprentice (1) - Summer
  • Environmental Education Intern - Fall

Volunteer Opportunities
at Audubon Sharon
Volunteers are highly valued as an integral part of the success of the Sharon Audubon Center.  Volunteers assist with major events and programs at the Center as well as many behind-the-scenes activities.  The roles of individuals depends on their skills and interests, their particular schedule and desired time commitment, as well as the projects and activities going on at the Center.  Below is a list of common volunteer roles.  Call the Center for more information at (860) 364-0520 or to express your interest in one or more of these areas.
  • Special Events and Festival Activities and Planning (up to 150 volunteers assist per event)
  • Raptor and Reptile Curators 
  • Wildlife Rehabilitation and Baby Bird Feeders
  • Teacher Naturalists
  • Greeters and Nature Store Clerks
  • Maintenance and Trail Work
  • Maple Sugaring
  • Gardeners - Herb Garden, Butterfly Garden, Wildflower Garden
  • Bluebird Trail Monitoring
  • High School Volunteers for Summer Programs
