IBA-LEADER is an email discussion list for IBA coordinators, directors, technical committee members, IBA monitors, IBA stewards, and others both interested and involved in the Important Bird Area Program in the U.S. to:

* facilitate communication among individuals involved in the IBA Program

* ask questions relevant to the IBA program that others may have experience with

* share successes and challenges associated with the IBA program

* share resources, documents, etc., that may be helpful for others involved IBA program activities

* to communicate news on the local, national, and international fronts about Important Bird Areas

* to communicate ideas for integrating IBAs with state agency programs, Partners In Flight, the U.S. Shorebird Conservation Plan, the North American Waterfowl Management Plan, the Waterbird Conservation for the Americas Initiative, and other partners of the North American Bird Conservation Initiative

* to share news about upcoming meetings and issues relevant to IBAs

To be placed on the list send an email to IBA@audubon.org and briefly explain your interest and/or involvement in the IBA Program.
