PURPOSE OF WETLAND GENERAL

WETLANDS-GENERAL is the distribution list, hosted by National Audubon
Society, that will provide regular updates related to wetland topics. This
includes legislative alerts, upcoming wetland conferences, recent technical
wetland information, and grant opportunities, among other things. The goals
are:

1)  to  influence  federal  initiatives  by  posting  action  alerts  and
encouraging subscribers to call or write representatives and to pass
the message along to other wetland  advocates and citizen leaders in local
communities; and

2)  to share  information on  resources and  tools available  to wetlands
advocates, including  information regarding  the links  between birds  and
wetland habitats.
