Many of North America's birds are on the move, shifting their winter ranges northward and inland. A new analysis conducted by Audubon scientists using 40 years of data provides new and powerful confirmation that global warming is having a serious impact on natural systems.

This new avian evidence will attract attention and spark action among more than 40 million self-proclaimed U.S. bird-watchers, ten of thousands of whom contributed to the Christmas Bird Count data on which the studies are based.
