Audubon Names Mary Beth Henson Chief Financial Officer and Vice President
“Mary Beth joins Audubon during a phase of rapid growth and innovation for the organization, as we transform our network into a powerful on-the-ground force for conservation,” said Audubon President and CEO David Yarnold. “Her experience and expertise will help us build on our work as a world-class conservation network, and I’m thrilled to have her joining the team.”
With total revenues in 2012 of $89.9 million, Audubon is one of the nation’s largest and oldest conservation organizations. Headquartered in New York City, the organization has 22 state offices, 47 nature centers and 465 chapters across the country, reaching more than four million people annually and playing leading roles national conservation policy decisions, from Alaska to the Gulf Coast.
Henson comes to Audubon after serving from 2008 as vice president, finance for City Harvest. Prior to that, she had a 19-year career in investment banking and treasury operations at Merrill Lynch and Chase. Henson earned a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from New York University, and also serves as a volunteer director for Immigration Equality, a national organization that works to end discrimination in U.S. immigration law.
