Forty years ago today Congress passed the Clean Water Act, promising fishable, swimmable and drinkable waters across our nation.
More than a generation after President Richard Nixon signed it, we still have some politicians saying that clean water regulations need to be relaxed. Some of our clean water friends discussed the improvements to water quality in northeastern Minnesota, thanks to this landmark regulation.
Raise a 40th Birthday toast today (water, naturally) to celebrate Clean Water and those who stand up for it for all of us!
