Peter Vincent—Vice President, Human Resources
Peter Vincent oversees Audubon's key resource - its talented, dedicated staff. He and his team provide guidance to leaders and staff on hiring, employee relations, performance feedback, benefits, compensation, staff development, and organizational effectiveness. Since assuming the role of Vice President of Human Resources in January 2013, Vincent has revamped and expanded the employee benefits portfolio; reorganized HR to be more customer-focused, aligning the HR managers by Flyways; and outsourced payroll and back office HR operations to Doherty to lower our costs and free up time for more strategic work .
As a seasoned veteran in employee management and organizational development, Vincent understands the ultimate value of a nonprofit lies in its human capital. By fostering a collaborative, competitive, and rewarding environment across the network, Vincent is ensuring that Audubon employees are strong, effective voices for conservation. His goal for Audubon is for the organization to be a talent magnet--to attract the very best and brightest conservation voices, from as wide and diverse a talent pool as possible. To meet the significant environmental challenges facing us we need nothing less.
Vincent has more than 27 years of experience in key corporate roles, most recently as Head of Human Resources for Time Inc. Since 2004, Peter has been on the board of MOUSE--a NYC-based youth empowerment organization enabling underserved youth to gain technology skills. He also works with leaders as a coach at a number of other NYC nonprofits.
