My current issue of AUDUBON magazine has not yet arrived? Can I get a replacement copy?
AUDUBON magazine is published bi-monthly and issues are mailed for delivery to arrive at your home during the first week of January, March, May, July, September and November. Delivery of your issue could be delayed for a variety or reasons, so we recommend waiting until after the third week of the scheduled delivery months (as noted above) before asking for a replacement copy. If you require a replacement copy, please contact us at Audubon@emailcustomerservice.com and put “Replacement Copy” in the subject line or call us toll free at (800) 274-4201.

If the current issue arrived at your home, severely damaged (missing cover, missing pages, pages stuck together) we ask that you send us an email at Audubon@emailcustomerservice.com and put “Damaged Magazine” in the subject line or call us toll free at (800) 274-4201.

I am being asked to renew my membership after I just sent in my renewal a few weeks ago. Should I be concerned?
In many cases, our mailings are prepared weeks in advance, and some members receive a renewal notice after they have already renewed. If you have recently renewed your membership and have received a renewal notice, your payment and our reminder mailing have probably just crossed in the mail. Please ignore this reminder as we are in the midst of processing your renewal. Should a second one reach you, however, please contact us at Audubon@emailcustomerservice.com or call us toll free at (800) 274-4201, so that we may investigate and resolve this issue.

I am receiving duplicate copies of AUDUBON magazine. What should I do?
Occasionally, a member is listed multiple times within our database. Multiple listings can be created for many reasons, including donation with change of name, change of address or spouses making their donations separately. We try to avoid this, so if you are receiving duplicate copies of the magazine or other mailings, please contact us as soon as possible at Audubon@emailcustomerservice.com with “Duplicate Copies” in the subject line or call us toll free at (800) 274-4201, so that we may investigate and resolve this issue. We can merge your multiple records permanently in our system and fix the problem. Many of our mailings are prepared several weeks in advance; it may take a few weeks after you contact us before the update to your membership is fully applied. In the meantime, please consider giving the extra mailing to someone else who might be interested.

How does your “Paper Free Renewal” Program work?
The “Paper Free Renewal” Program is a great way to guarantee that you receive uninterrupted service of Audubon magazine while also helping us to conserve paper. Members who enroll in this program do not receive renewal reminders through the mail. The program is simple: each year on the anniversary of your first payment into the program, Audubon will charge your credit card for the initial amount you contributed upon joining the program. In addition, prior to the charge Audubon will notify you via a post card, so that you may contact Audubon to make a change to your donation or stop the payment. If you are interested in signing up for this program, please email us at Audubon@emailcustomerservice.com with “Paper Free Renewal” in the subject line or sign up by calling us toll free at (800) 274-4201.

I want to sign up for monthly donations. Do you have a monthly giving program?
Yes, Audubon has a monthly giving program called Audubon Advocates and any donor can join this special group of members provided that you pledge a fixed amount each month via your credit card. This fixed amount is automatically deducted on a monthly basis. Members who join the Audubon Advocates are part of a special group of donors who provide a critical and reliable source of funding by making donations on a monthly basis. As an Audubon Advocate, you are entitled to full membership benefits and guaranteed uninterrupted service of our flagship, bi-monthly publication AUDUBON magazine. For your participation you will receive a statement of your activity once a quarter, as well as a year-end tax statement. Audubon Advocates do not receive renewal reminders and can cancel at any time. I am interested in participating in Audubon’s Backyard and Christmas Bird Counts. What do I need to do?
Participating in either or both Audubon’s Backyard or Christmas Bird count is a great way to have fun outdoors while actively participating in our conservation mission. Through these efforts we have been able to track bird populations since the 1900’s, which provides important science data that makes a real difference. Occasionally I see products with the Audubon logo on them. Is that your organization or some other company?
Yes, if you see the National Audubon Society logo on a product for sale you can be confident that the product is part of our licensed product line. If you are entitled to a free gift with your membership or donation, it should arrive at you home within 6 to 8 weeks of when your contribution payment was processed. I do not want my name given to other organizations. Do you share your membership list with other organizations?
Audubon, like many other non-profit organizations, occasionally shares its membership list with carefully selected organizations whose mailings you may find of interest. However, Audubon never sells or exchanges it members’ phone numbers or email addresses to outside organizations. If you would prefer that Audubon does not provide your name for mailing to other organizations, please contact us at Audubon@emailcustomerservice.com and put “Do Not Share” in the subject line.
