Audubon Center for Birds of Prey: Events/Programs
Thursday, September 17, 7 p.m.
Falcons: Raptor Seminars: Discover the birds of prey found in Florida at Wild Birds Unlimited in Winter Springs through a series of free seminars. Seminars include at least two live birds and will be held at 7 p.m. at 5687 Red Bug Lake Rd, Winter Springs. Registration is required and must be done directly with Wild Birds Unlimited at 407-695-0526.
TogetherGreen Volunteer Days
Audubon Center for Birds of Prey is kicking off its’ second year of Volunteer Days Events to start in September 2009. TogetherGreen is all about helping you get involved in creating a brighter, healthier future. It’s a dynamic and innovative Audubon program funded by Toyota that aims to provide inspiration, leadership and opportunities that inspire people everywhere to take action at home, in their communities and beyond to improve the health of our environment.
All volunteer events will take place at
the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. Enjoy refreshments and
giveaways after you lend Mother Nature a helping hand. Please

Kick-off Event: Sunday, September 27 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
As part of the National Volunteer event on Public Lands Day, Audubon will host its first volunteer event to improve local wildlife habitat at by removing litter from Lake Sybelia and the surrounding neighborhood. In collaboration with ECO-Action, (www.eco-action.net – make ECO-Action link to site) ten one-person canoes will be available to the first folks that register. Light refreshments and give-aways available. Registration is required. Contact Lynne at 407-644-0190.
October Events:
Saturday, October 10 – 10 a.m. For children ages 2 to 6 with an adult. Cost is $5 per person. Creature Coverings: Explore the animal kingdom and find out who has fur, scales and feathers. Meet two creatures up close and personal.

November 12: Wind Beneath our Wings - 6 p.m.
Audubon Center for Birds of Prey Celebrates 30 years. Join us for an evening to celebrate successes of the past and take flight into the future as we commemorate 30 years of Raptor Conservation, Rehabilitation and Education in Central Florida.
Location: UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center
Individuals - $100/plate

December Events:
Saturday, December 12 - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Jr. Rehabber program for children in grades 1 to 4. Cost $15 per child. Animal Kingdom: Discover the ways scientists divide different animals into groups by their characteristics. Discover the differences and similarities between invertebrates, fish, reptiles, birds and mammals. Animal encounters and behind the scenes activities included.
