Neale Woods Nature Center
Site Description:
Owned and operated as a nature center by the Fontenelle Nature Association, Neale Woods consists of 554 acres of floodplain and upland woodlands and restored prairie just north of Omaha.
Ornithological Summary:
A checklist of 202 species has been compiled, which includes 35 warbler species as well as species of state concern such as yellow- and black-billed cuckoo, whip-poor-will, red-headed woodpecker, Acadian flycatcher, wood thrush, Bell’s vireo, dickcissel, and grasshopper sparrow.
