Bladder-Pod Beeplant

Also known as Bladderpod. A shrub that grows to 5 feet high and 6 feet wide. It produces yellow flowers, followed by fruits that become hollow when dried. It can tolerate poor soil conditions and is drought tolerant. 


Common Chamise

A shrub that grows up to 10 feet high and 6 feet wide. It produces small, white flowers during the summer followed by bird-friendly seeds. It is drought tolerant and can tolerate full sun. 


Also known at California Bay Laurel. An evergreen tree that can grow up to 60 feet high and 30 feet wide. It produces white/cream flowers March through May, following by fruit. It is drought tolerant and can tolerate sun and shade. 

Creeping Snowberry

A creeping shrub that only reaches about 1 1/2 feet in height. It produces pink flowers in early summer, followed by white berries. It can tolerate shade to full sun. 

California Figwort

Also known as California Bee Plant. An evergreen perennial that grows to 4 feet high and 3 feet wide. Its red to maroon flowers bloom from February through May and produce seeds that birds eat. It is drought tolerant and can grow from sun to shade. 

California Rose

A shrub that can grow up to 8 feet in height and width. It produces pink flowers from May through August and loses its leaves in winter. It grows in full sun to partial shade and is drought tolerant. 

Sugar Sumac

Also known as Sugar Bush. An evergreen shrub that can grow 12 to 15 feet high and up to 18 feet wide. It produces white flower clusters from March through May, followed by groups of reddish berries. It is drought tolerant and prefers sunny environments.
