Audubon Bird Guide App Beta Testing Instructions

We want to thank you for joining our private beta testers group. With your help, we’ll be able to make the Audubon Bird Guide app better for everyone.

The beta releases may contain new features not yet available in the main release. Since these features may be experimental, we ask that you don’t publicize or share the features you’re testing until they’re publicly launched.

Please feel free to use your Audubon account to add sightings and share photos as usual using the beta app. If you decide to return to the public version of the app, the data you created with the beta will remain associated with your account. While losing data is highly unlikely, due to the experimental nature of the beta releases, please use the beta app at your own risk.

If you have any questions regarding the beta test, please contact beta@audubon.org

How to download the beta

You will use Apple’s TestFlight app to download the beta updates and send us feedback. Please use the following instructions to get started:

  3. Tap the “View in TestFlight” or “Start testing in TestFlight” button in the email you receive. If you are viewing the email on the iOS device with TestFlight installed, TestFlight will open and you will be able to accept and download the update.
  4. If you are not using your iOS device to view the TestFlight email, you will be taken to a web page with a redemption code.
  5. In the TestFlight app on your device, tap “Redeem” in the upper right corner and enter the code you were given. You will then be able to accept and download the update in the TestFlight app.
