Stephen Tan, of Seattle, Washington, is partner at the environmental-law firm Cascadia Law Group where his practice focuses on environmental litigation. Stephen has long been active in the nonprofit community, particularly with organizations promoting environmental education, conservation, and public media. He writes and speaks often about conservation policy, responsible businesses and organizations, and effective nonprofit governance. Stephen currently serves on the boards of Pacific Public Media (KNKX-FM), Washington Trails Association, and Braided River, and on the advisory board of Cascade Public Media (KCTS-9 Public Television). Stephen received his JD from the University of Colorado and his BA in biology and environmental science from the University of Virginia.
