Habitat

The Point Conception 120W34N IBA is characterized by the following habitat types: open water. The IBA is located in the Southern California Bight ecoregion. Point Conception forms a transition zone between climate and habitat of the north and south. North of Point Conception is characterized by west facing beaches, storms and high winds, rocky shores and higher diversity of macrophytes.
