Each spring, the forests come alive with small, fleeting flowers known as spring ephemerals. Come explore the magic of these powerful plants at the Green Mountain Audubon Center. We will learn about spring ephemerals and how to identify them, search for them throughout the woods, and we may even find some other small, magical beings along the way.
Ages: 3+
Trail/Accessibility Information: Trails may have areas of packed earth/dirt, grass, roots, and leaves. Trails may be muddy. Participants using wheelchairs, mobility equipment, or strollers may need all-terrain tires or adaptive/motorized equipment for the surface type and grade
Suggested attire/gear: This program is entirely outside. Dress in layers for the Vermont spring temperatures. Mud boots with good traction or an is recommended. Bring snacks/warm drinks as necessary to keep you and your family comfortable.
