We offer programs for students here at the center or at your school, with options for grades K-12.

Engaging Environmental Lessons Start Here

Choose one of the options below to browse our complete list of programs available. Hosting a special event like a school science night or environment club festival? Keep us in mind. Our education team also tables at select education-centered events in our community! Programs are designed to support school learning, meeting state standards for science, natural history, and language arts.

Radical Raptors (Group Tours)

This hour-long program is led by a docent and includes a tour of the Center, incorporating the Center's history and mission, natural history, stories about the Center's birds, and what each of us can do to help birds in the wild. This program is perfect for all ages and tailored to the age group. For these guided tours, we can accommodate up to two (2) groups of approximately 20 participants in each group.
Cost: $200 per group of 20 people (one hour).

Programs with Live Raptor Ambassadors

Kestrel Quest

This 30-minute program includes a live American Kestrel and explores the decline and conservation status of this small but mighty bird of prey. We discuss the importance of the American Kestrel, their incredible migrations, and how we can help conserve them. This program is offered for grades 2 and up and is tailored for the age group.
Cost: $300 (30 minutes)

Owl Academy

This 30-minute program includes a live owl and explores the adaptations of these amazing nocturnal birds of prey. We discuss the importance of owls, the owl species of Florida, and how we can help conserve them. This program is offered for grades 2 and up and is tailored for the age group.

Adult Raptor Talk

We can attend your garden club, HOA meeting, church group, or other adult gathering for a talk on the raptors of Florida, the history of the Audubon Society in Florida, and conservation.
Cost: $200 (45-60 minutes)

Community Events

We can attend your community event to set up a table and talk with your attendees about our Center, our work, and raptor conservation. Raptors may be able to attend events depending on type, length, location, time, and safety for birds. We charge for attending events based on the scheme below.
