Our kayak experiences offer a peaceful way to connect with one of the last free-flowing rivers in the continental United States. Enjoy a guided adventure or paddle at your own pace.  Advance registration is recommended and availability may be weather-dependent.

Guided Kayak Tours

$15 per person | 2 hours

Join a knowledgeable guide for a relaxed paddle through the Pascagoula River system. Learn about local wildlife, native plants, and the river’s unique ecology while enjoying a safe, engaging experience suitable for beginners and nature lovers alike.

Great for first-time paddlers, families, and anyone who wants to learn more about the river.

Self-Guided Kayak Rentals

$10 per person | 2 hours

Prefer to explore on your own? Our self-guided kayak rentals let you enjoy the river at your own pace. Paddle quietly, observe wildlife, and take in the scenery while following designated routes.

Ideal for experienced paddlers or those looking for a peaceful solo or small-group outing. Recommended for individuals who are physically capable of paddling independently, can follow posted routes and instructions, and are comfortable navigating natural waterways.

• Access to designated paddling areas

Age & Skill Requirement

• Children under 12 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
• All minors under eighteen 18 must have a liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to participation, in accordance with Mississippi liability and recreation standards.
• All participants must be able to wear a properly fitted life jacket at all times while on the water.
• No prior kayaking experience is required for guided tours.
• Self-guided rentals are recommended for participants who are comfortable paddling independently and following posted safety guidelines.
• All participants must complete a liability waiver prior to launch.

Booking, Waiver, and Safety Disclaimer

• All kayak rentals and guided tours are subject to weather conditions, river levels, and other environmental factors and may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled at the discretion of Pascagoula River Audubon Center staff for safety reasons.
• The Pascagoula River Audubon Center reserves the right to deny participation to any individual if staff determine that participation would pose a safety risk to the individual or others.
• All participants are required to complete a liability waiver prior to launch. Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks associated with outdoor recreation and natural waterways.
• Participants must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to allow for check-in, waiver completion, and a mandatory safety briefing. Late arrivals may result in shortened paddling time or forfeiture of the reservation without refund.
• By participating, guests agree to follow all staff instructions, posted safety guidelines, and Mississippi boating laws while on the water.
