Explore the unique ecosystem that is the Pascagoula River watershed, with native animals on display indoors and native plant botanical gardens.

The Pascagoula River Audubon Center is a gateway to exploring nature and bayou habitats, offering educational programming for school groups, a step back in time with the historic trolley ticket booth and Scout Hut, and hands-on learning opportunities to fit your needs. Daytime visitors can explore the nature trails, bayou pier, bird feeders, critter tanks, art gallery, kayak rentals, gift shop, and more!

The Pascagoula River Audubon Center will be temporarily closed while the building undergoes important structural and cosmetic repairs.

While the work may take up to 12 months, our mission isn't taking a break. Our staff will continue connecting people with nature throughout the community, and we have an exciting lineup of programs and events ahead!

  • Summer camps are still underway, including our Green Resilient Infrastructure Technical Skills (GRITS) Summer Camp in mid-July.
  • This fall, students will dive into hands-on conservation through River Heroes Academy and our new Green Pathways: Innovators program, helping the next generation explore watershed health, wildlife habitat and climate resilience.
  • We're also working behind the scenes on new educational exhibits for our Ticket Booth Conservation Project, bringing together Moss Point's history and the story of the Pascagoula River.

We'll continue partnering with local organizations, including Moss Point Parks & Recreation, the community, and schools to bring programs directly into the community while our building is being refreshed. Thank you for your patience and continued support—we can't wait to welcome everyone back to an even better Pascagoula River Audubon Center.
