Volunteer Opportunity

Were you THAT person who was obsessed with raptors growing up? Or are you still the person in your friend group who spots Red-tailed Hawks from inside the car? Whether you have long admired birds of prey or are new to this bird nerd subgroup, we want to hear from you! Our center is home to many non-releasable birds of prey, many who serve as education ambassadors for their species. All our birds are permanently disabled and require daily care, which includes diet preparation, enclosure maintenance, and enrichment provision (interesting things for the animals to experience). They are housed in outdoor aviaries and are accessible for viewing by the public. No previous experience required. We ask that prospective resident raptor curator volunteers agree to:

Be at least 16 years of age.
Provide your own transportation to the Sharon Audubon Center.
Arrive prepared to work your shift during all seasons.
Volunteer one shift/week for a minimum of one year.
