Hog Island Audubon Camp opened in 1936, and many credit the camp as the origin of the nationwide environmental education movement. The goal of the camp was to help teachers develop a sustained interested in the natural world, thereby leading them to support wildlife and natural resource conservation efforts. Today, we continue working towards that goal by offering overnight camp sessions for adults, teens, and families that focus on ornithology, ecology, arts, photography and more!
Hog Island is a 330 acre island that is part of the Todd Wildlife Sanctuary. There are approximately 6 miles of hiking trails that traverse the island. Visitors on foot are welcome to explore the island!
