Birds of Little Rock Audubon Center

Some of the birds that call this place home.

The natural divisions of Arkansas all come together in the central Arkansas region. At the Little Rock Audubon Center, our 450 acres are uniquely representative of that diversity with bottomland hardwood, upland hardwood, nepheline syenite glade, and oak savannah habitat all at one site, all within city limits. We support the birds and the places they need in this varied landscape through prescribed fire, invasive species removal, and bird-friendly forestry.

From migrating warblers and wintering sparrows to nesting Purple Martins and roosting Chimney Swifts, nearly 200 species spend time at the Little Rock Audubon Center. We’re excited to share these birds with you! Here are some of the species you may find at the center:
