The metro area’s premier celebration of bald eagles returns for 2026 to the Audubon Center at Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton.
The 2026 Eagle Days celebration will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 9am-2pm. This event will take place, Rain or Shine!
Visitors are welcome to view eagles through spotting scopes staffed by trained volunteers. The World Bird Sanctuary will be providing live Bald Eagle programs and chances to see Bald Eagles up close throughout the day. Visitors can learn the fascinating story behind these amazing raptors! Eagle presentations will take place at 9:15 AM, 10:00 AM, 10:45 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 AM, 1:15 PM.

An annual favorite for visitors is to hop inside the life size bald eagle nest replica for one-of-a-kind selfies or pose as an eagle in front of the giant eagle wingspan banner. Partner organizations will feature staffed educational tables for participants to interact with and learn from. Dam-it Joe's will also be on site to offer barbeque for sale; as well as warm beverages from Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck.
Visitors are encouraged to dress warmly, wear comfortable shoes for walking, and leave their pets at home.
Eagle Days is made possible through a partnership between the Missouri Department of Conservation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Great Rivers Greenway, the St. Louis Audubon Center, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
