It’s Our 15th Anniversary!

Connecting nature, birds, and community.

For 15 years, Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center has been a place where nature and community come together. Nestled within more than 200 acres of protected habitat in Cedar Hill and part of a nearly 3,000-acre greenbelt, the center has inspired countless visitors to explore, learn, volunteer, and build a deeper connection to the natural world. Through educational programs, family experiences, birdwatching, hiking, and conservation initiatives, Dogwood Canyon's mission of connecting communities to nature while protecting birds and the places they need continues to enrich lives and strengthen our region. Dogwood Canyon has demonstrated that conservation and community has a deep connection, creating opportunities for people to slow down, recharge, and find inspiration in the outdoors while safeguarding critical habitat for year-round and migratory birds.

As we celebrate our 15th anniversary, we honor the countless individuals, families, partners, and supporters who have helped make Dogwood Canyon a thriving sanctuary for birds and people alike.
We invite everyone to join us on September 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a free community celebration featuring live music, food, guided hikes, animal ambassador programs, and activities for all ages. This special event will highlight the beauty, wildlife, and shared experiences that have made Dogwood Canyon such a beloved destination.
Together, we'll celebrate 15 years of inspiring connections to nature, promoting health and well-being through outdoor experiences, and safeguarding the habitats that birds and people depend on for generations to come.
