Audubon's Dogwood Canyon protects approximately 200 acres of juniper/oak hardwood forest on limestone escarpment in addition to a native grass pocket prairie.

Your support, whether through your time, purchases or donations, enables us to steward and preserve this important habitat for birds and other wildlife. Contributions also support our education programming, lectures, and special events and allow visitors from across Texas and beyond to experience and appreciate this wild natural resource.

One of the most generous gifts to our center is your time. From getting your hands dirty to greeting visitors, you can contribute to the center's mission in building a connection between nature and the local community. It is a great way to connect with, learn about, and advocate for birds and the natural world around us.

Volunteers engage in habitat restoration projects, gardening, community science initiatives, educational programs, visitor docent, and community events. These efforts aim to create bird-friendly environments and foster a strong sense of community involvement in being environmental stewards for the future.
